1. What are research peptides?

These are peptide materials used as tools to investigate scientific questions. A research designation describes a purpose; it is not therapeutic authorisation. To assess a material, we recommend checking its sequence, batch, documentation and compatibility with the planned study.

2. Peptide research versus medicines

A laboratory reagent and a medicine have different requirements and purposes. Drug development involves preclinical assessment, authorised clinical studies and regulatory review. Laboratory findings alone do not establish safety and efficacy in people. In Brazil, check the specific product’s status with Anvisa.

3. Peptide research as a route to future therapies

An investigated molecule may contribute to a therapeutic candidate, but that possibility depends on evidence and evaluation stages. When reading news, distinguish hypotheses, experimental findings and approved applications. Scientific potential is not a promise of benefit to purchasers of research materials.
